Drawing For Boston John Doucette's Colt .45 SAA

I got this Colt on a trade from Boston John several years ago.

It's a 3rd generation Colt SAA .45 Colt. Tuned by Bob James. Real ivory grips.

I keep it on my desk in my "Man Cave" at home. I think of Boston John every time I look at it.

For those that didn't know Boston John, he was a REAL cowboy, a patriot, a poet and a jokester.

I know he never shot blackpowder in this revolver----PROOF HERE:

I never thought I would ever part with this Colt but.......I have a friend in need.

Karrie Thompson (not a shooter, but a cowgirl at heart) single mom of two, was in a horrific car accident November 16th.

She got T-boned by a 16 year old at 7:30 in the morning.

She got hit so hard it knocked the rear axle clear out from under her car.

Her neck was fractured in three places. Her head went through the side glass. She was transported to St Francis Hospital in Peoria IL. Monday and released the next day (probably because she has no insurance). She will be laid up at home, in a neck brace, for up to three months. Even though she, as a single mom, qualifies for welfare (govt housing, food stamps, etc) She works three part time jobs to support her kids, live in her own home, and accepts no help from the government.

The owner of the truck that hit her does have insurance but she is months away from collecting anything. She needs money to pay bills...now!

I don't have any extra cash to help her out but I do have this Colt.

Knowing first hand the generosity of cowboys (&girls) I'm going to sell chance tickets on B.J.D.'s 45.

I feel certain Boston John is smiling down on this endeavor!

Please make out your checks for chance tickets directly to Karrie Thompson.

We will draw for this Colt at a planned benefit for her at The Sweetwater Saloon, Little York, IL. on Dec. 5th

Ms Jadyn will be contributing her considerable singing talent at this event, feel free to attend if you are local.

We will pay for shipping to your FFL holder.

Take a chance to own a piece of SASS history and help out a gal in need!

Thanks!
