New This Year : We will go to a three day format with side matches to be held on Friday September 2nd and the main match on Saturday the 3rd & Sunday the 4th. Side matches will either be $1 or $2 depending on which ones you shoot. If you can't make it Friday, some sidematches will still be available Saturday afternoon (Time permitting)
OK. For Newbies To This Match, It Will Require You To Fire Four (4) Handguns, Two (2) Rifles (Loaded 10 each) And No Less Than Eight (8) Rounds From Your Scattergun at EACH STAGE! You Will Always Have Two Six Guns Holstered And Two Staged. If You don't Own Enough Guns For This Match, Partner Up With Someone Or, See Me (Dapper Dan) For Loaners. We Will Put Out EVERY Piece Of Steel We Own (And We Got, ALLOT) We Will Have Our Famous "Beer Can Launchers" In Place On Stage 1. We Will Shoot 3 Stages On Saturday And 2 On Sunday. Still not enough Shooting? OK, How About A Two Stage Wild Bunch Match On Friday & Saturday Afternoons Plus Long Range Pistol, Lever Action Rifle & Single Shot Sidematches? We'll Also Have A Steak Fry On The Grounds Saturday Night Served Up By Lori, Jaydon And The Crew From The Sweetwater Saloon.

Got an e-mail from Flint Westwood SASS # 94 confirming that he is coming to True Grit again this year ! Come out and meet one of the very FIRST shooters in this sport.

Great News! After much begging & pleading Denny from Tonto Rim Trading Co. will be our Vendor at True Grit this year. You all know how hard it is to get a vendor to come a shoot anymore SO...save up your pennies and support them, so they will come back again.
