WHAT: This is a two (2) day shoot. The main event is a 5-stage cowboy action match: three stages to be shot on Saturday and two stages to be shot on Sunday. Each Stage will require four (4) single action revolvers, two (2) lever action rifles (pistol caliber), and one (1) shotgun with no less than eight (8) rounds per stage. Side events, to be held on Saturday, will include a Wild Bunch Match. This match will involve two (2) single action revolvers, one (1) 1911 style pistol (no compensators or optic sights) with two (2) clips, two(2) lever action pistol caliber rifles, and one pump action shotgun (model 1897 or 1912). Events on Saturday afternoon will include 200-yard single shot rifle in blackpowder and smokeless classes (period rifle and ammo with all lead bullets required), a 100-yard long-range lever action rifle in rifle caliber and pistol caliber’s, and 50-yard long-range pistol. (Come with your rifles sighted in, you only get 2 sight-in shots!) One entry in each side match included in your entry fee, re-shoots for a better score are $2.00. Long Range Rules Here.
WHERE: High Point Gun Club, 31 miles south of Milan, IL, or 8 miles north of Monmouth, IL, on US 67 to 270th Ave. Drive west on 270th Ave. for 4 miles to 40th St. Proceed north, and turn at the first driveway on the right. (watch for signs)
WHEN: SEPTEMBER 4th and 5th, 2004. COST: $50.00 for registrations postmarked
by August 24th 2004, spouse with registered shooters $40.00 each, junior shooters
$25.00 each. After September1st, the cost to shoot is $70.00. No Single day
registration this year and no telephone registrations allowed. ALL ENTRIES MUST

SHOOTING CATEGORIES: TRADITIONAL, MODERN, 49ER, LADIES 49ER, DUELIST, FRONTIER
CARTRIDGE, FRONTIERSMAN, LADIES TRADITIONAL, CLASSIC COWBOY, SENIOR, ELDER STATESMAN,
JUNIORS,SENIOR DUELIST and GUNFIGHTER.
AWARDS: Trophies for 1st place in all classes and side events. Awards will be presented after shooting is finished on Sunday.
FOOD: Lunch is provided free for registered shooters at the range on both days. Guests may purchase meals at the range. Breakfast will be available both days as well. Saturday night will feature a steak fry with all the fixins at a cost of $15.00.

ALL SASS RULES APPLY: Need not be a SASS member to compete, proper cowboy dress is required. Gun handling is allowed in designated safety areas only, no ammunition handled in safety areas. All pistols must be worn holstered and empty, long guns carried muzzle up and actions open, or on cart with actions open at all times. All shooters and spectators are required to wear eye and ear protection while on the range. NO ALCOHOL until after your match or side events are concluded.
SCHEDULE: SATURDAY: 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM, check-in for pre-registered shooters
& walk-in registrations. Walk-in registration closes promptly at 8:30 AM.
SATURDAY and SUNDAY: 8:45 AM sharp is the mandatory shooters meeting. If you
are late for this meeting, you don’t shoot! Shooting starts at 9:00 AM.
